Elegant antique secretaire from the 19th century, Second Empire period. An extremely refined secretaire. Made of fine solid mahogany wood characterized by elegant linearity, two majestic side half-columns decorate the front and add grandeur.
The top surface is in fine dark gray marble, which contrasts elegantly with the color of the wood. It has a long, narrow drawer at the top, while at the bottom, two doors reveal a practical compartment and an additional internal drawer. The central part opens, as is characteristic of all secretaires, to reveal a leather-covered surface with a golden decoration in the center. A versatile surface that can be used as a support for quick writing, for consulting documents, or can simply be left open for aesthetic pleasure. The central interior section has many small drawers ideal for storing small items. This secret is the first long internal drawer, which can only be opened via a hidden opening (see photo).
