In the foreground, small figures are engaged in everyday activities: a woman hanging out laundry near the tower and fishermen or ferrymen in rowboats along the shore. On the right, a circular fortified tower dominates, flanked by rural or village buildings. In the distance, other buildings, towers, and ruins can be glimpsed, while a promontory on the left lends depth to the scene. A large tree on the left balances the composition. The blue sky is broken by light clouds, very reminiscent of the atmosphere typical of the Mediterranean coast.
