We are pleased to present this splendid oil painting on plywood panel, dating back to the late 19th century. This magnificent painting depicting a reclining girl is signed lower right: A. Villa. It is attributed to the Italian painter Aleardo Villa (Revello, February 12, 1865 – Milan, December 31, 1906). The painting depicts a young girl reclining, leaning on a large cushion. In front of her is a large bouquet of flowers, probably hydrangeas. The girl, with a thick head of curly black hair, has typical Mediterranean features. The great artistic quality of this small painting is evident in the bold, textured brushstrokes and the soft colors that perfectly complement the romantic atmosphere of the scene. The girl is absorbed in her thoughts, and the painter has managed to convey her expression with great elegance and naturalness. This stunning little painting transports you into the romantic thoughts of a young girl, allowing you to indulge in the pleasure of imagination: perhaps she is thinking of the smitten boy who gave her the beautiful bouquet of flowers! The painting is framed in a magnificent 19th-century gilded wooden frame.
If you love late 19th-century Italian painters, you absolutely must add this wonderful painting to your collection. A splendid work of art that will enchant your guests!
